Gilbert is my 9 year old rescue from Many Tears Animal Rescue. We believe he is a Corgi x Jack Russell Terrier who has a personality as big as his ears!

Gilbert was found dumped in a crate by the sea as a puppy as the tide was coming in. Thankfully he was spotted, and people came to his aid. However, he then bounced in and out of 3 homes. He was returned to the rescue multiple times for being too hard work and too hyperactive. Having just lost my first dog, another rescue terrier, and my father, Gilbert came into my life at a critical time. We rescued him at 8 months old and he was also extremely nervous and reactive to other dogs, unable to look at strange dogs from a distance without panicking and was also sensitive to touch. I was determined to channel Gilbert’s cheeky energy and discovered how keen he was to learn, and how bright he was. Gilbert has taught me so much and we are on the best adventure together – he truly is my best friend.
